Finding the things in everyday life that make life wonderful...

Crafts or Homework... the eternal debate for me.

So this week has been a nightmare of homework and other stressors... so what did I do to cope? I crafted while procrastinating. Yup... and somehow it made the homework seem less daunting.  So the combination of origami and crochet projects has helped to keep me sane (and allowed me to give some pretty rockin' gifts to my dear friends).

The first completed project was a baby blanket for a classmate who is due in January... I worked all semester on this and was very happy to have it completed. It looked so much better than I thought it would, especially with the inclusion of the white border and dark purple ribbon accents (both of which are part of the pattern but helped to make the mistakes I know are there less noticeable).

The next project completed was a series of origami that I did either through a book or, in the case of one, a YouTube video (which I will credit).

Finally, I finished the scarf I started so many months ago (I do believe before the Summer Break).  This is for my dear friend Than and is his very own Ravenclaw scarf (gotta love my Potter friends).

Let me know what you think!  This just shows that when I have time to do what I love, I tend to be happier (and more productive... my thesis proposal is done and I'm half way through a final for the hardest class I have this semester).
